The AirGuard™ Difference
AirGuard™ captures and directs contaminated aerosol particles that would otherwise go into the air and endanger the dentist, patient, and assistant. Protect yourself and others by adding AirGuard™ aerosol protection units to your operatories.

Powerful, Uninhibited Airflow
Vacuum suction alone is not protective enough.
Computational Fluid Dynamics studies show that vacuuming from the side of the patient causes the aerosols to flow over the face of the patient before being removed from the environment.
Deliver air suction and protection simultaneously.
The AirGuard™ disrupts the fluid flow in a manner that forces aerosols to immediately evacuate the environment without flowing over the patient’s face.
Reliable Aerosol Protection
Captures dangerous aerosols to protect your health.
When the simple act of breathing can potentially expel harmful aerosols, extra-oral suctioning with IQair Dental Series removes the contaminated air from your immediate surroundings before it has a chance to move throughout the operatory space.
Directs aerosols and prevents airborne particles.
The AirGuard™ acts as a barrier between the clinician and the patient. When using the air/water syringe, high-speed handpieces, cavitrons and piezos, or air polishers, guards prevent overspray from landing on undesirable surfaces. The AirGuard™ also helps increase suction efficiency by focusing on the working environment between the patient and the barrier.
Intuitive Ergonomics
Ergonomic handle moves to where you work.
Both the AirGuard™ MP and XP guards are large enough to deliver protection without obstructing your working area or compromising your movement. The wide handle was strategically designed for ease of positioning by the dentist or support staff. Raise, lower or angle the guard for personal preference to keep your posture in a neutral position.
Capactive buttons are intuitive and easy to clean.
All AirGuard™ operation buttons are within reaching distance. The smooth-surfaced buttons allow for the use of barrier tape and easy disinfecting. Simplified symbols are easy to read.
Integrated LED Lighting System
Long-range LED spots replace your dental light.
While individual headlights have become the norm in the dental industry, not everyone wears them. The dimmable spots on the AirGuard™ deliver precision lighting for intricate procedures, eliminating the need for headlights.
Lighting specifications:
Warm and Cool White combination LED in one: 2700K ~ 6500K
High lumen density for directional lighting
Enables system beam angles from 10 to 40 degrees
Consistent white light <3 SDCM
Robust design with LM-80-tested MP-1616 series LEDs
Direct the light exactly where you need it.
The dental professional’s vision is greatly improved when wearing a headlight; however, the light’s intensity and direction need constant adjustment. AirGuard™ integrated lighting eliminates time wasted removing gloves, making adjustments and re-gloving. Precision lighting allows the clinician to see hard-to-light areas such as maxillary posterior buccal surfaces.
Multicolored LED strips so you can see in any condition.
Many clinicians struggle with ineffective overhead lighting, often from low intensity or poor positioning. Integrated LED side strips on the AirGuard™ eliminate the need for overhead lighting and provide bright illumination through close placement to the working field.
Colors right where you need them.
Change the lighting color to warm white, cool white, amber or blue to coincide with your procedure. Avoid accidental exposure to the intense blue light of curing wands by simply switching to amber light. To support color matching for crowns, composite material and partial dentures, AirGuard™ provides two shades of white to fit your needs.
Blue LED: 470nm wavelength
Amber LED: 2200K
Warm White LED: 2700K
Cool White LED: 6500K
High-Definition Camera + Interface
See like never before with HD.
Do away with loupes, intra- and extra-oral cameras and tablets. The integrated high-def camera on the AirGuard™ XP model captures clear photos without the need for a steady hand or fulcrum to zoom in or out – you only need a mouth mirror for hard-to-reach areas. With the camera’s magnification, loupes are a thing of the past. Show your patient an area of concern in real time with the double-sided interface screen without soiling a mirror or tablet, and use the screen to keep patients entertained when needed.
